Reba & Faith Duet a "No-Go" posted by debi

A few weeks ago we posted that Faith & Reba would have a duet on Reba's album due out this fall, a story we originally got from Reba's official web board. It turns out the story is not true, unfortunately, although both singers love the idea of recording something together if the right project came along.

Tim McGraw's 2003 Tour Set To Launch in March "Tim McGraw & The Dancehall Doctors' ONE BAND SHOW" posted by debi

Tim McGraw will hit the road this spring to share new music with his fans from his double-platinum selling album Tim McGraw & The Dancehall Doctors. The tour, "Tim McGraw & The Dancehall Doctors¹ ONE BAND SHOW," will launch March 7 in Birmingham, Alabama and will run through early summer. The concert tour will feature over two and a half hours of music from McGraw and his longtime touring band and new recording partners, The Dancehall Doctors.

"This is the most ambitious tour we've ever set out to do. I want this tour to look and feel different than anything we've done in the past," says McGraw. "We want the time and space to go deeper musically - to play album cuts & all kinds of songs that we jam on in rehearsal, but never get to play in concert. We want fans to get to see the side of us as a band that we enjoy the most - hanging out and playing music all night with no time constraints. The challenge is to take a show that's twice as long and keep up our own standards of what it needs to be visually & dynamically. That's the ambitious part."

"Tim McGraw & The Dancehall Doctors ONE BAND SHOW" will be sponsored by Bud Light, McGraw¹s tour sponsor of the past five years.

All dates are subject to change. Get the schedule.

Faith Hill Performs Overseas, Taps Nickelback Frontman For Song posted by debi

Faith Hill just returned from a two-day trip to Germany to promote her current album, Cry. The superstar performed on Europe's biggest television show, called Wetten Das. The show, which aired Saturday (January 25), drew an audience of 20 million viewers, as the one-hour show only airs six times a year. Hill, who performed her current single, "When The Lights Go Down," was one of a number of celebrity guests, including Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Hugh Grant.

"What a fantastic experience," said Hill. "It's such a high compliment when a show of that caliber asks you to perform your music, basically for the country. The people were so kind and the enthusiasm for the show was something that I don't think I've ever seen." [View photos from the show.]

Hill was back at home in Nashville in time to watch Super Bowl XXXVII on Sunday (January 26).

In other Hill news, the singer reportedly wanted Nickelback lead singer Chad Kroeger to pen a song for Cry. According to MTV, Hill never got around to making her request known to the singer-songwriter, but someone at her label recently passed the word along.

"I caught wind of this, and then I found out that she's got a greatest-hits record coming out soon, (which will likely contain one or two new tracks)," Kroeger told MTV. "So, right away I grabbed the acoustic and put pen to paper and tried to write a song for not only someone from another genre, but the opposite sex, which is really tough to do. I just tried to make it an honest-sounding song, and I'm sending that off to her right now."

Hill's publicist denies that the superstar's next project will be a greatest-hits package, adding that there has been "no discussion" of her next project at all.
