Faith Hill Begins Press Push for Stepford Wives posted by debi

The producers for "Stepford Wives" began the promotion effort for the film in Las Vegas this week, at the Show West marketing convention of Theater Owners. The stars, Nicole Kidman, Faith Hill, Glenn Close, Jon Lovitz, Matthew Broderick, and Bette Midler appeared together on the various magazine TV shows. Funny moment on E.T. came when both Nicole and Faith admitted that the robot versions of their Stepford Wives characters were given bigger breasts.

Faith was on ET, Extra and Access Hollywood. On Extra some cast members sang, but Faith couldn't be coaxed into it. The film is set for summer release.

Meanwhile, Tim McGraw...
Tim continues shooting his first major studio film role in Texas. McGraw is expected to be off and on the sets of "Friday Night Lights," perhaps through April. After that, he'll work on finishing his new album and get ready to launch his Tim McGraw and the Dance Hall Doctors OUT LOUD tour that kicks off in Virginia Beach, Va, June 11th.

Tim & Faith Will Remember The Alamo.. Premiere posted by debi

Neither Tim McGraw nor Faith Hill are Texans, but they'll certainly remember the Alamo…premiere that is, when they're among the stars invited to the premiere of the film set for this Saturday in San Antonio. They'll be walking not the Red, but the 'Yellow' carpet (in honor of the Yellow Rose of Texas), along with the film stars Dennis Quaid, Billy Bob Thornton and Jason Patric.

Home On The Range posted by debi

Home on the Range" features a big, infectious country-and-western sound. Bonnie Raitt, k.d. lang, the Beu Sisters, and Tim McGraw cut loose on tunes by composer Alan Menken ("The Little Mermaid," "Beauty and the Beast") and lyricist Glenn Slater. That kind of talent adds up to an instant hootenanny, and a film that dazzles ear as much as eye.

"I don't get intimidated easily, but I had a halt in my breath going in to do a Disney project," says McGraw, who has 21 solo number-one country hits. "Disney soundtracks are always so awesome, so beautifully done, with such great artists." He needn't have worried. His end-credit ballad, "Wherever the Trail May Lead," is an instant cowboy classic.

For sheer vocal high jinks, it's hard to beat "Yodel-Adle-Eedle-Idle-Oo," Alameda Slim's siren song. "Alan Menken wrote the big yodeling number and it's just so good, so off the wall," says Slim's supervising animator Dale Baer. "Randy Quaid really wanted to do that whole thing. His wife said he practiced in the bathroom. He put his heart and soul into it; he gave it everything."

To nail the tune's extreme gymnastic sections, the studio brought in yodeling virtuosos Kerry Christensen (who once worked as a yodeler at Walt Disney World) and Randy Erwin and seamlessly married their high-wire performances with Quaid's. The three may just launch a mainstream revival of a slippery cowboy art.

Pre-order the soundtrack, due out March 30th.
